Positive Reflection

Nothing in the world is worthless! One year ago, I randomly came across the post of Amal Academy application and I applied for the fellowship. But due to lack of passion, I was not selected at that time. I started following Amal academy posts and tried to understand what they really do. Three months ago, when the applications for the new sessions were being considered, I spent 2 hours on the submission of the application for the fellowship and made a detailed application. Fortunately, I got selected for the program and the journey started as I was excited to learn new skills in the fellowship, so I was much focused from the very first day.

Each part of the fellowship is amazing whether it is weekend session, breakout rooms, energizer activities, online course, group assignments and circle Mega project. On top of everything an incident changed my life and way of thinking was an activity during the session. We all were distributed in different breakout rooms. One problem was assigned to each breakout room and we had to come up with different solutions on that problem. One member from each group was a traveler and he had to collect thoughts from other group members on that problem. So, I was a traveler in my group where I was surprised to know that every member of the other breakout rooms was giving me more and more attractive ideas, ideas far from our thought. The ideas from different people helped me to come out with the best solution to the problem. So, the instance point for me is as we involve more people in our discussion or team, we become more effective. The takeaway is teamwork. Most of the time we think I can do this task individually which is not a good approach. As a team we can do things more effectively and efficiently due to more ideas.

Before that day I was just confident on things like if a task was assigned to me, I will find the solution and resolve it myself rather than involve more people in it. My point was that when we add more people for one task, they just waste the time. But now I have totally changed my approach to it. I will try to involve more people to solve any problem in my life even if it’s my personal or professional. Aik aur Aik Gyara is really a great way to achieve your goals effectively.

“TEAMWORK DIVIDES THE TASK AND MULTIPLIES THE SUCCESS.”

The realization about teamwork played a vital role in our mega project. Most of the time we found that few members in our circle were not available for weekly PW work due to their exams and final year project. But due to teamwork, we all were able to submit our PW on time. Most of the time, we help each other regarding work and work overlaps from one team member to another. Same case was with our Mega project all the time. I was surprised to hear about new ways and new ideas to solve the problem. Every circle member put their full energy and they believed in team work. Everyone was excited and positive about helping each other in PW submission and completing Mega project requirements.

Before joining Amal Academy, I was a man of different approaches but now my approach has totally changed. I realize that working in a team is much more effective than working individually. Creativity thrives when people work together as a team. Brainstorming ideas as a group prevents stale viewpoints that often come out of working solo. Combining unique perspectives from each team member creates more effective selling solutions.

What you have learned from your individual experiences is entirely different from your coworkers. Thus, teamwork also maximizes shared knowledge in the workplace and helps you learn new skills you can use for the rest of your career.

In the end, I would like to conclude my discussion saying that each and every moment of fellowship has a wonderful impact on my personality and I really wanted to thank the Amal team for arranging such amazing sessions and activities for us.
